Panagia Glykiotissa

This church is located in the Nea Ekali area of Limassol, next to the Pano Polemidia forest park. It was erected by displaced refugees from Kyrenia in memory of the historic country chapel of the Virgin Mary that lies in occupied Kyrenia. The modern church follows the type of the timber-roofed basilica and is an exceptionally popular choice for the celebration of sacraments, thanks to the idyllic environment and the wonderful panoramic view it offers.
