Panagia Leivadiotissa

This picturesque Byzantine country chapel is built to the north-east of the village, on a beautiful plateau of a hill that overlooks the lush green valley of the Syrkatis river. The area around the church is characterised by the presence of centuries-old olive trees that complement the serene natural landscape. Historical documents report that the structure was radically renovated in the late 18th century after the relevant ecclesiastical permission. Today it is one of the most recognisable historic landmarks of the Cypriot countryside, offering an excellent panoramic view.
