Ruins Archaiou Monastery of Saint George

In the rural area of the village of Softades are located the scattered remnants of an ancient monastic complex dedicated to Saint George. The formerly flourishing Byzantine monastery has suffered total wear with the passage of the centuries, with the result that today only foundations of walls and stone structures can be discerned in the ground. The space bears significant archaeological value, capturing the historical presence of monastic life in the plain of Larnaca before its long abandonment.
