Saint Charalambos

This is a historic and distinctive little church of Larnaca, which is inextricably connected with the old leprosarium of the city near the Salt Lake. The church was built by the patients themselves when they were transferred to the area, in order to have their own space of worship and the protection of the Saint. Today, this stone structure is a moving monument of human faith and historical memory, preserving unchanged the devotion in its surrounding space.
