Saint Christini

This particular stone-built little church is the oldest religious monument of the area and is located in the traditional core near the boundaries of Germasogeia and Akrounta. It is a small, protected church with a flat roof, which was fully restored by the Department of Antiquities, revealing rare wall paintings. Owing to its very limited dimensions, the interior space now functions mainly as an ecclesiastical museum that hosts relics and icons, making it unsuitable for the celebration of sacraments.
