Saint George of the Emnon

This small and plain chapel is built on the top of a hill, deep within the verdant heart of the forest of Paphos, northeast of the community of Pano Panagia. It is a single-aisled stone basilica that bears a wooden gabled tiled roof and was named thus after the eponymous pine forest that surrounds it. The church was rebuilt recently upon the foundations of an older eponymous structure that had been completely destroyed before 1977, offering a serene refuge to the pilgrims.
