Saint George

This very old church is located in the community of Acheleia in Paphos and is a remarkable monument of Byzantine style. According to a relevant inscription at its western entrance, the construction of the church dates back to the early 18th century. In the interior of the building survive precious religious relics and historic icons that date from the 17th century, adorning the iconostasis of the church, which belongs to the Holy Metropolis of Paphos and celebrates its feast on the 23rd of April.
