Saint George

This picturesque and well-preserved chapel is built in the countryside of Alektora, in the rural area known as Lakkos tou Frangou. The structure was erected at the expense of the private individual Kostas Lanitis and remains in excellent condition, surrounded by a landscape that changes colors impressively depending on the season of the year. The little church opens its gates for the faithful just once a year, specifically on the second day of Easter, where after the service and the litany procession, traditional delicacies are offered. Because of its very small interior space and the fact that it remains closed almost all year, it is not available for the celebration of official weddings or baptisms.
