Saint George

This small and extremely well-preserved medieval chapel is located in the central square of the Municipality of Deryneia. It is a single-aisled stone-built church of Byzantine style that bears an elegant dome and has undergone certain expansions in the past. In its interior are housed precious old icons of the patron Saint as well as fragments of historic wall paintings, being an important center of worship of the area.
