Saint George

This historic central church, dedicated to the eponymous Great Martyr, dominates a plateau at the northeastern edge of the mountainous community. It is a single-aisled vaulted church that was erected in the mid-eighteenth century and was later expanded toward the west, when its bell tower was also added. The structure has been declared an ancient monument and stands out for its traditional stonework, its extremely elaborate wooden iconostasis, and the incomparable panoramic view that its forecourt offers toward the village.
