Saint Kalandion

This historic church dominates the square of the community of Pano Arodes in Paphos and is the only church in the entire world that is dedicated to Saint Kalandion. The stone-built, vaulted structure of the 18th century is famous for its forecourt, where the mysterious sarcophagi of Saint Agapitikos and Saint Misitikos are located. The church is an important spiritual landmark of the district, while at a short distance to the southeast of the village is also preserved the eponymous holy spring (agiasma) of the Saint.
