Saint Leontios

This small religious monument is a traditional vaulted church of the last years of the Venetian period, dedicated to Saint Leontios. It was originally located in Acheleia within the space of the present runway of the Paphos airport, from where it was relocated for reasons of safety to the industrial area of Anatoliko, on the boundaries of Koloni and Geroskipou. The church functions as a dependency (metochi) of the Holy Monastery of Saint Neophytos and preserves unchanged the devotion and the simplicity of medieval architecture. It is a special historic station for the workers of the area and the passing pilgrims.
