Saint Mamas

The Holy Church of Saint Mamas is located in Kato Lakatameia of the Nicosia district, being the core of the eponymous parish and the refugee settlement. It is a large and imposing church, built to cover the increased spiritual needs of the densely populated urban area. It belongs to the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus and gathers a large number of the faithful, especially during the annual feast of the Saint on the 2nd of September.
