Saint Mamas

The small and isolated chapel of Saint Mamas is built among vineyards, on the geographical boundaries of the mountainous communities of Lazania and Gourri in the Nicosia district. It is a traditional stone-built structure of older eras, which was preserved thanks to its recent complete restoration. The conservation works were carried out with the close cooperation, the voluntary contribution, and the personal toil of the residents and the professional builders of the two neighboring villages.
