Saint Nicholas Chrysochous

The old church of Saint Nicholas is a preserved religious monument in the community of Chrysochou in the Paphos district. The structure dates back to the Byzantine period and during the later centuries of the Ottoman period it had been converted and operated as a Muslim mosque for the needs of the residents of that time. After restoration works, the later plaster was removed, revealing traces of old decorations, while the church remains an important historic sight of the area.
