Saint Thomas

The religious monument of the Apostle Thomas dominates the central fabric of Aradippou, at a very short distance from the central church of the Apostle Luke. In 1951 its rebuilding from the ground up was completed, as the original structure had suffered total destruction by fire. As evidence of its historical continuity, the craftsmen incorporated into the northern part of the new church a surviving section of the old masonry. The church is a spiritual core for the area, while the local Hunting Club organizes festive events in the surrounding space on Thomas Sunday, the day on which the chapel celebrates its feast.
