Sina Monastery (Ruins)

A ruined medieval complex with enormous historical value, which was the most important dependency (metochi) of the venerable Monastery of Sinai on the island. It lies isolated on the verdant northern slopes of the western Pentadaktylos, offering a captivating and panoramic view towards the coastline of Kyrenia. The church is dedicated to Saint Paraskevi and preserves visible architectural elements, such as worn reliefs on the main entrance of the katholikon. After the events of nineteen seventy-four, the monument was completely abandoned to its fate, so that its stone walls collapse and the site is completely inaccessible for worship use.
