Unknown Church (Ruins)

In the occupied town of Lefka survives the historic church of Saint George, which was completed in the early twentieth century. The structure is a three-aisled basilica, which after the events of 1974 was completely abandoned and suffered extensive plundering and destruction in its interior. Today the monument remains in ruins, stripped of its iconostasis and its holy relics, serving as a silent witness to the Greek-Cypriot religious heritage in the area.
